Bark & Brew raises nearly $900 for the Dog
Park
More than 70 dogs and 100 people braved the heat to attend the
3rd Annual Bark & Brew at Chips Restaurant ~ raising nearly
$900 for the Ankeny Dog Park.
Guests enjoyed demonstrations by Canine
Craze Performance Center and Tri-County
Boarding Kennel, doggie treats from Brown Dog Bakery, nail trimming
by Pawsitively Pampered,
refreshments from Chips
and Doll Distributing, "yard patrol" by Scooper
Troopers, plus services and prizes by area pet businesses.
The 7.5-acre Dog Park north of SomersbyPark is slated to open later
this summer while fundraising efforts continue. Upcoming events
include a Paw Spa at the Bark
Zone, July 24, and BarktoberFest at Chips
Restaurant, October 9.
